The imported JVA Z-Range of energisers is designed to be the best affordable high-feature security energiser in the world. WHAT IS BI-POLAR FENCING?
The new JVA Z14A Electric Fence Security Energisers can be operated in bi-polar mode. This gives rise to the questions: What is bi-polar and what exactly are the benefits of this wiring configuration?
A bi-polar fence is an all-live wire fence. A bi-polar energiser has the ability to pulse synchronized positive and negative pulses down alternative wires of the same fence line. So, instead of having alternative live and earth wires on the fence line, one now has one wire with a positive pulse and one wire with a negative pulse. This means that all the wires on the security fence are live (with the exception of one true earth wire in the fence grid).
A reading taken between the positive pulsing or negative pulsing live wires and the true earth, will give half the voltage of a normal live earth configuration. However, when one touches both the positive and negative pulsing wires, one will receive the ‘full Monty’. The big plus factor of this configuration is that, by reducing the voltages to each wire, one eliminates the annoying and often difficult-to-eliminate arcing experienced in coastal or dusty areas.

CENTURIAN D10 SLIDING GATE MOTOR

We at AFRICA ELECTRIC would like to welcome the new Centurian D10 motor, this motor is still in the Beta Version.

We have proudly installed a few of the D10 Centurian motors and can only say it’s a great new product from Centurian.

Here are a few of the specs of the motor.

The D10 operator:

· LCD programmable controller card

(so easy to commission it is almost unreal)

· Will be able to handle gates up to 1000kg

· 800 operation a day

The main features of this system are as follows:
· Not limited to the amount of users
· Three telephone numbers per user (Telkom, cell number etc.)
· 220V to the system and it does have battery backup
· Three outputs that can be activated
· Arm and disarm a loop detector to open the gate for visitors exiting the complex remotely, this is a advance safety feature because the loop will be disarmed until you phone the unit. By doing this it will be not possible to trigger the gate via the loop if a vehicle drives over the loop if it did not receive a trigger signal from a call that was made to the unit.
· Fully programmable via the internet with a secure user name and password
· Full transaction, airtime usage and complex audit reporting sheets available via the net for easy administration use.
· Latest software and firmware will be automatically be updated when it is available.

Centurion D5 sliding gate motor

We fit the Centurion D5 sliding gate motor for easy integration plus it is ideal for domestic and light industrial use. It boasts the following features:

The thoroughbred range of DC operators offer swift and reliable sliding gate control. The D5 unit is powered by a high torque DC motor coupled to a custom built gearbox.

The system uses a 12V maintenance free battery as the primary power source. The battery is charged via a mains supply or solar panel. For light industrial applications the D5 is available with a power pack which delivers the full current requirement of the motor.
The principle features of the system are:

CUSTOM BUILT GEARBOX – made from advanced engineering materials for corrosion-free strength and durability.
ROBUST LUBRICATED GEARSET – ensures extended life and secure locking.
REVOLUTIONARY INTERNAL LIMIT SWITCH (DOSS) – for pin point stopping and easy installation. Novel gate referenced origin ensures that the end limit positions are never lost even if the gate is accidentally knocked off its rail and repositioned differently.

SENSITIVE ANTI CRUSHING CONTROL – for greater safety.
PROVEN SURGE AND LIGHTNING PROTECTION – for added reliability.
INTERNAL MANUAL RELEASE – with lockable access door for greater security.
UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION – using safe low voltage battery driven DC motor.
FAST OPERATING SPEED – offers greater security and convenience with smooth acceleration and deceleration.
MULTIPLE FEATURES – to suit a wide variety of applications.

At the core of the CENTURION slider is the electronic controller. The controller used in the D5 unit is the CP80 Controller.

Centor Traffic Barrier

The CENTOR traffic barrier is the right product for high volume access control applications such as shopping mall parking lots, large business estates etc.

It incorporates a 220V torque motor. The unique operating characteristic of this motor is that it provides the system with a continuous rating (100% duty). It is very efficient with a barrier raise time of less than 3 seconds (3 & 4.5m boom pole models).

It offers fail safe operation in that the barrier will automatically raise in the event of a mains power failure.
The CENTOR barrier enclosures are robustly constructed from either mild or stainless steel (Typically grade 3CR12 or 430) to provide a tough and long lasting product.

The reliability of the system is further enhanced, by the simplicity of the design and the minimal quantity of mechanical components used.

It uses the CENTURION CP91 controller which offers proven reliability and the  flexibility that it can be programmed to suit majority of applications.
